Why you'd want to live in Evans

Every year sees 300 days of sunshine in this town north of Denver. An urban city with rural roots, Evans offers parks, hiking and biking trails, proximity to the Rockies and Denver International Airport. All four seasons are on glorious display in this Tree City USA-designated city. Sidewalk-lined streets in subdivisions make Evans a family friendly community. Evans is home to 300 acres of parks, including Riverside Park, which features a 7-acre fishing lake, two miles of trails, a playground, picnic pavilions, basketball courts and soccer fields. Prairie View Park has the city’s first skate park, and Freedom Park is an off-leash dog park, with separate areas for large and small dogs. For the fifth year, Evans was named a Playful City USA Community, for providing activities and avenues for community members to get fit and healthy. Evans has also been deemed a Tree City USA for the last 30 years. Evans is outside the bigger city of Greeley, which means plenty of quiet evenings and relaxing days. For example, the fabulous Greeley Farmers Market takes place on Saturday mornings. But if you crave a little more excitement, plenty of entertainment and dining options exist. Evans is a great place to live whether you’re single or married. The ratio of married to single people is nearly 50/50. The average household size is 2.95 people, and the median age of residents is 27. Since it’s close to the University of Northern Colorado, it remains a place where graduates find permanent roots. If the lower cost of living, access to outdoor activities, proximity to Denver (which is a mere 40 miles away) or the perfect temperatures don’t lure you in, nothing will. It doesn’t hurt that a major university is nearby, as well as reliable public transportation through the GET (Greeley-Evans Transit) bus service, and a healthy employment market. Uncomplicated living can be yours when you relocate to Evans. via Search Homes in Evans
